Anyone out there who torques their crank bolt? I was wondering which part you should reference when looking up the torque spec when putting on a new/different crank (assuming the old BB and crank bolt are used)? Do you look up the spec referring to the new crank/bb/ or the old crank bolt? I am assuming that different cranks require/can only handle a specific torque related to the material and shape it is made out of, unless this is a false belief? Thanks!

As long as you aren't stupid with it (big cheater bars etc or an 8 stone weakling) just as tight as you can get it by hand will do . But the following is a more exact torque if you are precise about these things.
