See Bikeman's video. The Sunlite is fairly basic, but as Bikeman says, this is something you're going to throw away eventually as it gets more and more mucked up. Why pay more? They both do the same job fairly well.

Hope this helps

I got a chain cleaner years ago. I don't even know where it is now (well it's in the bike shed but where about in the shed...), as ever since I had a quick link on the chain, I take the chain off for a proper clean/re-lube (using more or less the "Sheldon shake") .

His entire thoughts on chains http:// https://www.sheldonbrown.com/chains.html and for cleaning advice see the "cleaning chains" section. Using the cleaner I found that the de-greaser was dripping everywhere so moved on to the removing the chain method one thing with that if the chain splits with pin removal I wouldn't reccomend removing the chain a lot (as is required for cleaning), as the removal of the pins weakens the chain.

Back to your original question .  The Park has the name and is a bit better built but Park tools tend to be expensive, both work roughly the same but as Kevlar says they tend to be too mucky to use before anything breaks (unless you spend an extra twenty minutes cleaning the chain cleaner [biggrin] ) so you don't need the best quality.  Just buy whatever your LBS has in stock at the best price.

I've seen videos about using a "master link", carrying it as a spare.  However I can't seem to find where to buy one (or more).

Bike n kite does them, as do your  LBS, Amazon etc (may be called connecting link or quick link or... rather than Master link.).

Example :-http://www.bikemanforu.com/products/chain-connecting-link-sunrace-ultra-link-6-7-8s.html
NOT a reccomendation or anything just an example.
